I wasted 8 years of my life as an Internet marketer trying to get sites to rank in google.
I probably should have called this post SEO stole my life!
SEO is the most frustrating and pointless thing you can do why spend month trying to get a site to rank or more precisely 1 page of a site to rank for a keyword when you can spend 1-5c a click and get better results much much much quicker.
Take it from me it makes more financial sense to spend money on clicks and get a 200-300% ROI than to spend time and money getting a site to rank.. trust me on this I’ve done both and i’d rather eat my eyeballs than do SEO again.
I’ll show you a campaign below, now that is a brand new site, to put it bluntly it earned me over $1000 in profit in it’s first month.
Because I was buying cheap traffic I spend less than 10-15 minutes a day checking things, in fact I ran it when I was on vacation from my iphone and occasionally my ipad.
On with the Post
If you remember earlier in the year and late last year all the talk was about 1c clicks on Facebook.
Everything then went quite and the cheap clicks seemed to stop.
The purpose of this post is to tell you it hasn’t stopped and 1c clicks are still possible on Facebook.
Almost all the campaigns I run now get clicks at below 5 Cents quite often 1 cent, if you then have your landing page set up properly you can generate even more clicks from shares and an income of more than the cost of the click.
With low cost clicks all sorts of monetization is possible..
Build a targeted List
Make affiliate sales
Build a short term income from adsense
Before I go any further here are some screenshots..
Campaign #1 October 24th
Campaign #2 – october 24th
Anatlyics for 1 of the campaigns above the landing page was a blog post… this shows the traffic is engaged…
Over 200 shares that day… free traffic
As you can see the secret to low click costs is a high CTR these were around 11% I’ve had over 15% on some campaigns.
There are several factors involved in getting low cast clicks
1. To get high CTR you need a GREAT Image that gets people to stop and look it needs to stand out.
Here is an Ad I ran recently… Would that get your attention in among all the memes?
2. You need a headline that’s a good call to action or is controversial or provokes curiosity
3. You need to nail your targeting, know your target market inside out.. know what keeps them awake at night know what they desire.. know what they’d sell the grandmother for!
4. Constantly improve your campaign
A little more on point 4.
Those 1 cent ads started off at about 12-14c facebook optimised them over the first 36 hours down to around 7c I then went to the reports section and removed all demographics and geo locations that weren’t converting at over 7%
If I start out with an audience of 1.6 million I really want to have that down to under 1 million in 3 or 4 days. The secret here is actively removing people from your targeting NOT adding them.
Finally the process of creating and setting up an ad isn’t a 5 minute process.. You need to spend time on it, treat each ad as a project assign an hour or 2 to it and get it right first time!
Hope that helps
Talking about a good image that becomes share able which one of the free stock image sites are you having the most success with?
Lol I don’t use the free ones I have accounts at a couple of the paid sites
Mark.. one quick question.
Something I always wonder, do you replicate the ad with the new targeting in mind or you simply update and send your current ad in review?
I update the Ad, with the new targeting But make a note of it in a spreadsheet so i know what I’ve done
Nice image btw 🙂
